ACCA Admission & Pathways

ACCA Entry Routes
The ACCA qualification welcomes students from diverse academic backgrounds:

  • Foundation Level: For students with no prior qualifications such as Matric/O-Levels.

  • Graduate Entry: Bachelor’s degree holders may claim exemptions based on prior study.

  • Professional Entry: CA, ICMA, or CIMA qualified candidates may enter directly into advanced levels with exemptions.

ICMAP Pathway Exam
A structured exam route is available for ICMAP-qualified professionals, allowing them to obtain ACCA membership with fewer papers through exemptions.

Admission at ALP
Authorized Learning Partners (ALP) are approved by ACCA to deliver tuition with structured study plans, expert faculty, and additional support. Enrolling at an ALP improves learning outcomes.

Exemptions
ACCA offers generous exemptions to students with prior academic or professional qualifications in accounting or finance. Students may be exempted from up to 9 exams (Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills level).

Course & Examination Details

Syllabus & Progression Rules
The ACCA qualification includes 13 exams spread over 3 levels:

  1. Applied Knowledge – Business and Technology (BT), Management Accounting (MA), Financial Accounting (FA)

  2. Applied Skills – Six papers including Taxation, Audit, and Financial Reporting

  3. Strategic Professional – Two essential and two optional papers

Examination Structure

  • ACCA exams are conducted quarterly (March, June, September, December)

  • Most papers are computer-based and consist of objective test questions and long-form case studies

  • Minimum 50% required to pass each paper

Examination Rules

  • Global standard assessment criteria

  • Time-limited progression windows apply

  • Ethical and Professional Skills Module (EPSM) must be completed prior to Strategic Professional level

CBE Structure (Computer-Based Exams)

  • Applied Knowledge and many Applied Skills papers are available as on-demand CBEs

  • Strategic exams are session-based and held worldwide

Fees & Registration

Fee Structure

  • Initial Registration Fee: PKR 32,485

  • Annual Subscription Fee: PKR 44,530

  • Exam Fees per Paper: Vary from PKR 35,770 to PKR 65,700 depending on the paper and registration timing

  • Additional fees may apply for exemptions

Required documents: identity proof, academic transcripts, and a passport-size photo

Academic & Practical Requirements

ACCA / Oxford Brookes University Degree Partnership
Students can earn a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University by submitting a Research and Analysis Project during their ACCA studies.

Practical Experience Requirement (PER)
To become a full ACCA member, candidates must:

  • Complete 36 months of supervised, relevant work experience

  • Fulfill 9 Performance Objectives, including technical and ethical competencies

Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM)
This online module enhances decision-making, professionalism, and ethics and is mandatory before attempting Strategic Professional exams.

Membership Requirements
To qualify for ACCA membership, students must:

  • Pass all 13 exams

  • Complete EPSM

  • Satisfy PER

  • Pay all relevant fees and subscriptions
