Unit 1: Exploring Business
Build a foundation in how businesses operate, compete, and respond to their environment in the modern global economy.
What is Unit 1 — Exploring Business?
The Exploring Business (Unit 1) module introduces the purpose, ownership models, and organisational structures that define successful enterprises. Learners investigate how internal and external factors shape strategic direction.
Through case studies and applied assignments, you will analyse real organisations, evaluate stakeholder interests, and interpret how businesses adapt to technological, economic, and social change.
This unit establishes the conceptual toolkit required for marketing, finance, management, and decision-making units later in the Extended Diploma in Business pathway.
